Alliance Water Resources maintains the Versailles Wastewater system.  Chad Shelby is the local manager.  J.J. White and Michael Thomas are the operators for the wastewater department.  Currently the City of Versailles and Alliance is working on the first phase of an 8.9 million dollar upgrade to the treatment plant and collection system.  The first phase is a 5 million dollar upgrade to the treatment plant.  A new headworks system, clarification and disinfection is a few of the new upgrades.  Before putting a plan together for the collection stystem Alliance is conducting an extensive SSES by visually inspecting every manhole, using a camera to look at every sewer main, and smoke testing every line to find potential I&I problems.  The current collection system is 99% clay tile.  The expected life expectancy is 40 years.
